I'm so excited! E3 has announced some incredible games that will come out this year and next! Kirby fans rejoice!
It's been a decade since we've seen a platform game for Kirby on a major console! The new art style and game play looks great. My only issue is the name of the game. Epic? Over used word much my friends? Not to mention another game that's being released is titled Epic Mickey. Meh. I'll take what I can get! After all... It might be another decade before I see a Kirby game for a home console again!
Best of all, earlier this year I had cross stitched the French icon for the sleep ability from Kirby's Adventure. Ironic right? The stitch work matches the theme of the new game.

Guess what I did!
I joined deviantart to post all of my pictures from now on. I have quite a bit to upload, but it's okay. I even got a really nice comment on one of my comics. :) I have a lot of new art projects planned out to keep me busy this summer when I'm not working.

Yay! School is OVER!
PREPARE YE SELVES! LONG POST IS ALMOST AS LONG AS LONG CAT!
I have never been more relieved to have school over with. It was brutal this semester. I feel like a part of me died...
The last two weeks were the absolute worst part. I had projects piling up like crazy! Attention all teachers! Instead of waiting until the end of the semester when every other teacher is giving out major project, assign them at the BEGINNING of the school year! Your students will do better and be less stressed out! >:O
I had one group project that I had no idea what to do. Here are the word for word requirements and see if you can tell me what to do;
1. It needs to be at least 15 minutes long.
2. Use anything we've read over the semester.
...
Um. Okay. Thanks...
Long story short, Ben come up with the idea of relating William Blake to Buddhism and other religions. I have no idea how he did it, but he did. His part of our presentation was the best. (Sorry Ben, but to be honest none of us had much confidence. You sure showed us!) We all passed with a 'B' which is surprising considering we literally researched and put together the entire presentation the night before it was due. We were so busy with our other projects it had to be done that way.
For my part I had researched Swedenborgism. A man called Swedenborg kept popping up in Blake's writing so I decided to find out about it. At first I was like "Man! There's isn't going to be anything on this guy and his church." Lo' and behold there's an official website of Swedenborgism! Who knew! (Aside from Swedenborgist themselves.) That provide all the information necessary for me to make my part and then segue into Ben's Buddhism.
For biology, groups had to put together a video and it seemed like everything was against our group. The camera we checked out from library was MAC only compatible and then the schools MACs wouldn't let us save what we worked on. So we tried to import all the video we had onto a flash stick, but MAC said no. Wow. The schools computers are mean! Then our schedules we're so different, but we managed finally to meet up and get it done. Our video was about caffeine. (Believe it or not that wasn't my idea. Lol!)
Then I ended up helping Melanie and her group with their project. When she called all they wanted to do was to come over so I could show them how to put music over the video. Turns out they had all their stuff, but didn't have any of it laid out or put together. I ended up helping them with the whole thing because I was due the next day. They even had to redo some parts. It was tough! But it looked pretty good in the end. Dejana even gave a thank you gift! She's so sweet!
I love clocks! Her gift was perfectly timed too. My old clock just died.
...
I just realized I made a really lame pun...
The last major project I had to do was making a video for my poems. It was easy enough, but I decided to draw them all out. It took forever! It didn't matter though. That was the most fun I've ever had doing a project. I even posted my favorite video to the blog.
Aw! Lavender looks so cute! That's my little cuckoolander! (Psst! The cake is a lie!)
My project partners did really well on theirs too. I even got to voice act for a skit someone had written! he said he need someone to play the blond bimbo and I had the voice for it.
...
Hey! Wait a minute! >:O
But I don't really mind. I thought it was hilarious. So I felt inspired to also draw the character I had to play. The picture turned out nicely. (If you can't tell, she's walking away and turning her head. If you couldn't tell- blame it on poor art skills...)
She's called Layla. You know, playing as the antagonist was fun.
Last on my list of things to talk about is that I got new glasses, but I really don't care for them. The style is just not my style. Personally, I love thin wire frames with ovals. I don't like thick, plastic, square frames. It might be the popular fashion right now, (I say that confidently because ever girl I see is wearing them) but it looks like they came straight out of the 80s. Enough! Can we just let that era die already?! Fortunately, they aren't nearly as dramatic and considering all the other frames to choose from these were the best. The square is rounded so it suits my face a bit better.

I feel like this is turning into a Pokéblog...
Seriously. Title says it all guys.
So, this tale will require a little back story.
Remember how last month Nintendo and Game Stop ran a special Pokémon event that gave away a Jirachi via wireless connection at their stores? Well, I went with some friends to go see the new Alice in Wonderland.*(See Mini Rant at the end to know what I thought if you want.) While we were at the mall I wanted to get the Jirachi for my Pearl and Platinum and long story short I did.
Then when I got home I realized I had lost Platinum. So I called all my friends that had gone with me that day to see if they had found it, but no one did. So my friend Jamie when out to Game Stop and got me a used copy of Pokémon! Holy cow! I felt so bad that he had done that. I didn't mean for anyone to do something so nice. I was just looking. Feeling like the jerk I was I got him a thank you gift.
He said he like cute Pokémon soooo-
After exchanging our gifts I realized he had gotten me the wrong game. The gesture though was so sincere and I'm really grateful for the thoughtfulness.
BUT today, guess what. My friend Mellie found Platinum in her car because she had to clean it out today. (I told her to dig deeper! Lol!)
So while I'm glad she found it for me I feel, well- Aaaaawkwaaard!
In other news, it's April 1st and many websites across the net have been pulling silly practical jokes! For instance, legendarypokemon.net put up a fake announcement for an event Pokémon. Here's the gag:
Of course Shiny Slowpokes aren't blue! (Darn it! I wish! They're one of my favorite Pokémon!) But I thought I would be fun to get a random Slowpoke and trade it for another so I did. However, when I got a Slowpoke back it was fifteen levels higher than the one I put in AND had a Master Ball attached. Sweet! Not for the trader- but for me, Sweet!
-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_
*Mini Rant: Alice in Wonderland looked good, but I hate it. Burton- keep you're overdone fan fiction to yourself. I'm really disappointed that he completely gutted a great book and stuffed the remaining skin with his dark fiction bull crap. I am a fan of a lot of his work and more so of Alice in Wonderland, but this just hit me totally the wrong way! Heck, I think this was a remake of the original Disney version and not even the book it was named for! It's sad when the cutesy, little animated version was closer to the original than this. What peeves me off even more is that my friend (the one who bought me the new game) now refuses to even read the book! (That's more his problem, but still... *headdesk*)

"In a completely unexpected move, the official japanese website, announced that all players of HG/SS will be able to obtain the elusive Lock Capsule via GTS, simply by uploading a Slowpoke nicknamed Movie13, looking in return for another random Slowpoke. Once the system notices the trade, a blue level 30 Slowpoke will be sent back to the trainer, holding the Lock Capsule. The event will run concurrently for all regions, April 1st to 3rd.
According to the news release, the Lock Capsule obtained via this event, can be transfered to the upcoming Generation 5 games, allowing the player to capture the notorious Zoroark!"

Random Scribble Update
I was a bit bored and was looking over some of my old doodles. So for today I found this old comic and had colored it last year. (Looks like crap non?)It was originally apart of a larger Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventure comic that I no longer think funny, but this one scene stood out to me. I just had to change the words and viola! New comic! LAUGH IT'S FUNNY! >:O
I've been considering getting a deviantart account just to upload all my doodles. (I'm paranoid that my computers will go out on me and wipe out all my digital copies.) Still I don't know if I will or not. (Scared of the critics.)

Pie Day and Pokemon
Happy Pie Day!
It's also Pokemon day for all the peeps here in North America finally! The new gold and silver remakes came out today and I'm super excited! (I'll have to wait until tomorrow though because it was Sunday today.) I had a video uploaded, but I found I had made a mistake and needed to fix it. I took it down. Sad!
It was even 3 minutes and 14 seconds long! Oh well... Maybe next time. But on to happy things!
I drew these in honor of today! Can you guess which one I'm going to choose?

To Find a Purpose
I started this blog as a test blog, but I feel it needs more of a purpose! What I would like to do is make this a literary blog with various things I see or with things I write. I guess what I want to do is make this an online notebook. I'll think about it and see!
